First, the process profile:
The boiler flue gas after the dust removal process enters the absorption tower, and the flue gas is convectively contacted with the atomized magnesium hydroxide slurry sprayed from the spray pipe in the tower from the bottom to the top, and the sulfur in the flue gas is removed. A demister is installed at the top of the absorption tower to remove fine droplets carried in the net flue gas. The net flue gas is emitted by the chimney.
Magnesium oxide desulfurization technology is a desulfurization process that is second only to the calcium method. It has a lot of application performances all over the world.
Second, the process principle:
MgO+H2O=Mg(OH)2
Mg(OH)2+SO2= MgSO3+H2O
MgSO3+H2O+SO2=Mg(HSO3)2
MgSO3+1/2O2=MgSO4
Third, the process characteristics:
1. The desulfurization efficiency is high, generally up to 95%~98%;
2. It has higher activity than lime and effectively reduces the ratio of liquid to gas;
3. The one-time investment is low in the early stage, which saves costs compared with the calcium-based desulfurization process;
4. High comprehensive performance, stable system performance and no secondary pollution.
